Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to join a stable and reputable manufacturing company of engineered mechanical components.
The Engineering Quoter will provide assistance to the Customer Service Department and Production Control Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Analyzes Blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare production paperwork for manufacturing operations.
Prepares production reports and serves as back up for data entry and special projects.
Assists in the forecasts of project costs.
Helps determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates.
Liaison between our Customer Service Representatives and our Production Staff.
Makes shop order changes, splitting jobs, insure clear prints, expediting and tracking down jobs in the plant.
Work from detailed drawings, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and verbal or written instructions.
Provide technical assistance to production personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS/
Experience:
Prior experience with cost estimating (e.
g.
manufacturing estimates; construction estimates-quoting; reseller mark-ups).
Mechanical Engineer degree a plus or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hourly wage:
$18.
00 - $25.
00 p/h depending on experience.
