We're currently seeking a per diem nurse practitioner to join us on intermittent Saturdays and Sundays from 8:
00 am to 4:
00 pm.
Responsibilities:
Conduct clinical evaluations of residents for acute illnesses or changes in status.
Facilitate the ordering and proper administration of medications.
Provide emergency services for residents and staff as required.
Address abnormal laboratory results and meticulously document assessments and plans.
Coordinate and arrange resident transfers to acute care facilities as necessary, including providing written consultation and making phone calls to receiving emergency departments.
Offer comprehensive end-of-shift sign-outs to nursing and medical staff.
Collaborate closely with nurse supervisors to actively educate, support, and guide our dedicated staff.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited RN program Current RN and NP licensure in the State of New York Possession of PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification Completion of mandatory courses for RN license continuation, such as Infection Control and Child Abuse courses DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) Certification is a prerequisite
Experience:
Minimum of two years of pediatric nursing experience At least three years of supervisory experience If you're passionate about pediatric care and possess the requisite qualifications and experience, we invite you to be part of our dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the lives of our young residents.
